For parents…childbirth is one of the most divine interventions…and indeed, it is the boon to humanity…the happiness beaming on the faces of the family people…is so genuine and true… In this ongoing happy streak…there are numerous events which make the family atmosphere festive…and the most important of them all is “THE NAMING CEREMONY” of the kid…of course he/she should be named…to be known to the world…and here all the relatives start pouring through numerous books, some technos going through internet…all for a cause…to get a unique and best name for the child…so that his/her name is inimitable…and many a peers are successful in getting that particular maiden name… Just like mine….GORAL…I bet many a people might not have even heard of my name…to tell you all…my name means “Very Dear To All”…and as my name goes…I am really dear to many…my family as well as friends… Having a different name is fun actually…no one around shares your name…few months back when I searched for my name o...

Watching those mushy, romantic movies, I always start fabricating my life the same way…I start day dreaming…thinking of my life going the same way…the Shangri- La way…in perfect bliss… But is it true in real life??? A question crops up after the euphoria of the movies evaporates…well…”reel” life turns “real” only for few lucky ones…or I must say…very few…I have never seen such happy life images in my memory…in typical hindi movie romance…the guy is poor n the gal rich…and both have societal barriers…there’s no other combination existent…but in real life…everything is possible…in English flicks…there’s everything in a fairy-tale mode…a beautiful romance…2 wonderful humans deeply in love…either having the best of lives or the worst… Movies show us only some aspects of the originality…and originality for that matter is…much diverse and quite practical…”reel” life displays fiction…is it really possible just 2 move around with your gf/bf and still make living???…in “real” life it’s not...

Crushes…as in infatuation, liking, fancy, fantasy…everyone in their lifetime have at least one person who is considered as a “Crush”…mostly it’s of opposite gender…but now a days, it can be of the same too ;) …in childhood, there’s no such feeling prevalent…but as we grow up…the hormonal upsurge causes attraction…and sooner or later…we start developing a liking for that some special one… As on my personal experience…I had developed my 1st ever crush during schooling…and till date he remains the best of all though quite a few have been my crushes at different walks of life till date… I define a “Crush” as that out-of-the ordinary soul who makes you feel…well…can’t be put into words actually…but yes…he/she is different from the rest of the crowd for us… It’s really funny having a crush…the actions, reactions; all change when that particular person comes in front of us…you tend to behave very consciously when he/she is around you…you try to look at him/her from every possible angle ...

A group of friends…sitting on the so-called “katta” (that is the word we use in Marathi for a place where friends sit everyday and chatter)…and suddenly someone’s phone vibrates to show a new text message…he reads it and comes up “are ye wala suna kya???”…and then recites it to the gathering…and everyone bursts into laughter… A usual scene now-a days…there were times when I used to receive all kinds of messages as in sentimental, dramatic, funny, serious i.e. all emotions…but in recent few months…or may be 2010…it’s a declared year of what we call as “panchat” ; “PJs” ; “FJs” ;”phate”…rarely I get those sentimental messages…and when I get them I call up the person to know if he’s alright...at the end of the day if I have received 20 messages…it’s for sure that 18 have to be stupid ones…and then the best of those stupids i.e. the most stupid is forwarded to all other people to spread the laughter… In between the lectures…i.e. if we get a break…we share the PJs within ourselves and decla...

“Hey, gtg”; “c ya”; “ttyl”; “brb”… Now those who are regular at using messengers to stay in touch with the loved ones might be knowing them and using them frequently while chatting…barring them…for others…let me tell you…”gtg” is “got to go”; “ttyl” is “talk to you later”; “brb” is “be right back”… There are so many such acronyms being regularly used on internet…Bill Gates uttered once “Whenever there is a hard job to be done, I assign it to the laziest man as he is sure to find an easy way of doing it”…humans are lazybones indeed…ages before there used to be no way of communication…so people went to each other’s place…then came the letters…which allowed people to sit home but still be in touch…furthermore…came the telephone…easy connectivity and no troubles of paper and ink…and now in the Modern Era…we have so many options of disseminating messages, emotions, etc., by means of internet, phones and all…do you think advances in technology gave birth to all this?? well... describing self is the biggest challenge for me... coz I don't guess I have known myself that much... but still...m kinda friendly gal...have just few people around...but are the best ones as for me... came into MBBS with a dream...and will prefix my name with Dr. in next 2 years... learnt a lot staying in hostel from past two years...especially understanding people...and picking up the correct ones to be friends... have an OCD of doing things in order...don't like it when not done according to me... and lastly...i am a very simple gal...but plan to achieve quite high goals... this is my perception about me...
