Dil, DOSTI, etc..

“Ya, I’ll call you.” And here I stay waiting for the call. 5 minutes gone, 10 minutes done. There’s no call. I keep scrutinizing, what went wrong? Is the he busy somewhere? Does he suffer from short term memory loss? Is he ignoring me? Did he deliberately do it? I keep thinking and sleep with so many questions boggling through me. Morning that I get  up, I come to know, he was fast asleep. Huh!! When asked for a justification, he’ll make sure he has a solid reason or an interesting counter to have me up tongue tied. I just keep mum for a moment and think, “Hey Raam, kaha se mila yaar ye?” The next “Ya, I’ll call ya. Aaj Pakka.” Here I am again, waiting for the call. 5 minutes gone, 10 minutes done. I again go through my list of probable concerns and doze off. Morning I get up, I read a message, “Arey wo ____ ka call aa gaya tha. Toh mai bhul gaya” Blah! Blah! There’s no next this time. No demands for the call at all. I am so sure he won’t call, that I start watching a movie....

Reality Face OFF!!!

Just while surfing Google today, I came across a quote, “Sure God created man before woman, but then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.” I am not making a point about women being superior, but I pity the plight of females in the society. There has surely been an uplifting of the society much beyond the expectations. Still we lack a bit. That bit is the equal rights. Officially it’s all equal, fair and square. But in reality it is NOT . An age old custom followed which I kind of dislike is the “Ladki Dekhne aana” show. We, the girls, are not a show piece to be displayed. Ofcourse this custom done ethically makes a bit sense, but through and through insulting girls by making them walk and asking them to talk just to make sure they are fine altogether. Guys are seldom asked to do all this. Moreover, these boys, however dumb they might look (it’s not about all but a few) have hi-fi demands with the girls. “They should be fair, tall, blah blah”.
