Crushes…as in infatuation, liking, fancy, fantasy…everyone in their lifetime have at least one person who is considered as a “Crush”…mostly it’s of opposite gender…but now a days, it can be of the same too ;) …in childhood, there’s no such feeling prevalent…but as we grow up…the hormonal upsurge causes attraction…and sooner or later…we start developing a liking for that some special one…

As on my personal experience…I had developed my 1st ever crush during schooling…and till date he remains the best of all though quite a few have been my crushes at different walks of life till date…

I define a “Crush” as that out-of-the ordinary soul who makes you feel…well…can’t be put into words actually…but yes…he/she is different from the rest of the crowd for us…

It’s really funny having a crush…the actions, reactions; all change when that particular person comes in front of us…you tend to behave very consciously when he/she is around you…you try to look at him/her from every possible angle and corner…getting the “eye vitamin”…if it’s just known that he/she is there, is enough to make you feel awkward…all of a sudden your appearance starts mattering to you...also you try to avoid any possible stupidity in front of him/her…then you try getting the attention of him/her but in a good context rather than for foolishness…

If the crush is a teacher…then…being the most shining student of the class is the cliché…may be we are the quite dumb in other lectures…but for that particular session, we try giving our best shot…may be we might be dozing in other hours…but this hour, we are wide awake…I guess guys will agree with this coz this is their particular character…not missing that particular class is the another feat…

These “Crushes” can be quite useful in life…if looked upon it just as a crush…they make us smile…they make us feel elated…that special fondness for the person gives us something good to think upon rather than having an empty mind which as a famous proverb says is a “devil’s workshop”…if a crush is better than what we are, then he/she can be a source of inspiration to us…a crush on a teacher helps in keeping up the attendance as normally it’s a bigtime problem amongst the students…

These special breed of mortals are an important part of life…but they should definitely not be the addiction…fantasizing doesn’t matter though…they should stay as that beautiful part of life which spreads a smile and keeps us beaming…few are those who get their crushes in their life permanently…but largely…they remain somewhere deep down in the heart as a wonderful emotion…forever…
