Evolving!
Inside it felt guarded. But it was
wondering how it must be being outside. At times it even thought it is just not
let to pave its way out. It even intended to go against and face the reality. However
the calyces knew it isn’t the time and kept the petals well secured. And merry
but sad at times, petals awaited the moment to come they’ll see the World.
A bright morning, the sun clutched those
petals and opened up the calyces. It was finally out… out in the factual World.
It dreamt a lot about the World being so beaming. It perceived outdoors to be
beautiful with thousand like it and all simple sweet and sober as it was. The others
would be grateful to have it with them. Even the other genre will be happy to
have a new company. So positive and so appealing it thought the planet is.
As it unfolded itself, its dream
dissolved and reality pinched it hard. The devilish voice from a distant says, “Welcome!”
The flower bloomed but scarily. It still had hopes for the positives. And a
wind blew so strong that the sepals again had to
protect. Petals actually were
shaken. It never wished for this.
There was heat, there was dust, there was
wind and there was water. At nights, the darkness petrify and in the days the
others. The moth sucked it and found nectar. The human played with it and found
happiness. The dust liked settling on it. And if all this wasn’t enough, a
someone tried to pluck it.
It cried. Regretted being asking to come out.
The cocoon was better, the calyces did a lot for it. But there was no looking
back, no way out. It had to move on. The calyces have grown old and now shouldn’t
be troubled more.
It made up the mind. Decided to face it
all bravely. No matter what it will stand tall. Come what may it will be ready
to fight back. What if there’s heat, it won’t dry down. What if there’s rain,
it won’t waver but sustain. And amidst that, it would still give nectar and fragrances
to all for it was meant to do good to the Earth no matter how the surrounding
treated it. It was a wish to be a part outside and so should it fulfill the
destiny by giving its best leaving aside the sorrow and frown, carrying a smile
and shine on the shrine.
P.S. This is a dedication to all my
friends who finished their studies and are now or will be soon facing the
working world… corporate for some and health setups for the others. All the
best! :)
