For Today I am!

She stood by her dream, wishing it happened!
She looked down the pain, hoping it was unreal!

Days ago he promised her a story,
For he would make her happy and merry!
He strode across the streets, and went down on knees,
Got her all teary with the happiness within!

She was his life and his dream,
He gazed the skies to find her loving!
He built a future in those tiny eyes,
She built a castle of love besides!

Came the day she was most excited,
She wore the gown and hair all braided!
Amused by the smile she wore that day,
The maids around chided her all the way!

She went down to the aisle glowing,
Waiting for her prince charming!
Her Dad reached out to her and pulled her aside,
Took her in arms with tears in his eyes!

"Don't worry father, He is the best I could find!"
Said the daughter in all her shine!
"Probably you won't be able to stand my words,
Coz he is no more, called up the Nurse."

The flowers in her hand, the smile on her face,
It all faded away in the seconds to say!
She could see her dreams falter, she could see her castle breakdown!
She din't want to believe in the facts coming along,
Coz she believed in her Man n knew he would come along!

Too shocked to believe, too uncertain to cry,
She went down to the graveyard, to bid him goodbye!

He once told her," Baby be strong for me. For today I am, tomorrow I won't be."
She never thought the tomorrow was so soon to come.
But she loved him so much that she had to be stern!

In the graveyard, besides her life,
She drenched into tears and never ever shined!
