"REEL" Life vs "REAL" Life!!!
Watching those mushy, romantic movies, I always start fabricating my life the same way…I start day dreaming…thinking of my life going the same way…the Shangri- La way…in perfect bliss…
But is it true in real life??? A question crops up after the euphoria of the movies evaporates…well…”reel” life turns “real” only for few lucky ones…or I must say…very few…I have never seen such happy life images in my memory…in typical hindi movie romance…the guy is poor n the gal rich…and both have societal barriers…there’s no other combination existent…but in real life…everything is possible…in English flicks…there’s everything in a fairy-tale mode…a beautiful romance…2 wonderful humans deeply in love…either having the best of lives or the worst…
Movies show us only some aspects of the originality…and originality for that matter is…much diverse and quite practical…”reel” life displays fiction…is it really possible just 2 move around with your gf/bf and still make living???…in “real” life it’s not…the romance phase persists for just few months and then comes the reality of actually not being able to give time to your other half coz the responsibilities surface above the dream world… also many a things actually occur in their lives in “reel”…in “real” life there are happenings…only they are meager…and actually empirical…
Apart from them, there are narrower and longer “reels” extant…the daily soaps…here the number of many things happening in movies feels to be minimal…just when a big tragedy ends…starts another…the smaller “reel” moves faster…also they for sure don’t relate the “real” life…and still Ekta had named her series as “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki…”pure paradox…
But again…I believe it’s not practically doable to stay away from the “reel” world…coz that is the one source which makes us forget the “real” world…at least for sometime…and helps us realize that “real” is not so bad…it aids to our entertainment…a much needed change for stressed souls… and importantly…a topic of discussion for innumerable people who don’t have anything else to do in life except survive…
“REEL” world and “REAL” world…are two different entities…but still linking many…and so…the “reel” world begins with…
“All the characters in this are purely fictitious…and they don’t bear any resemblance to the REAL”
